2min Recipe : Melagu Rasam / Pepper Rasam

Ingredients :

Thoor Dhal / Thovaram paruppu - 2 spoons
Pepper / Melagu - 1 Spoon
Red chillies - 5
Daniya - 2 Spoons
Jeera/Seeragam - 1/2 spoon
Curry leaves - 8 to 10
Mustard seeds - 1/4 spoon
Tamarind - medium lemon sized ball.
Salt to taste

Method to Prepare :
1) Grind Daniya, Thoordhal, Pepper , Redchiilies, Jeera together. Make a fresh paste out of it using water.
2) Prepare Tamarind Syrup.
3) Allow the syrup to boil till the tamarind smell goes off.
4) Add the paste prepared as above and keep stirring.
5) When the paste mixes evenly , add water if needed and salt to taste.
6) Allow the rasam to cook and keep stirring in low flame for 5 minutes.
7) Remove from heat.
7) Finish the rasam preparation by tempering with mustard seeds and curry leaves.

Ready to eat ;). Taste's good with arisi applam/ rice pappad.
